Eagle Thread Verifier, LLC, makers of the leading automatic thread gauge verification system, was incorporated in January 1990 by Alphonso Peplinski and his son, Thomas Peplinski, who at the time owned and operated an engineering design shop called Eagle Design Engineering. Alphonso Peplinski invented the patented Blind Hole Thread Gauge in 1990.
The company grew from Al’s experience in machine design, yet his vision for such a gauge to be commercially available did not come to fruition until around the time of his death in April 2004. It was just before his passing, that Al saw his goal of the ETV automatic thread gauge verification system installed at automotive supplier American Axle & Manufacturing in Detroit.
Succeeding Alphonso as president of Eagle Thread Verifier is Gordon Taylor, long time sales engineer for the company and trusted colleague of Al’s for many years. Gordon, having spent a lifetime in tool making and engineering, has led the company to its current status of being the leading automatic thread gauge verification system in North America.
Today, ETV has district sales managers working on the East Coast in Warwick, Rhode Island and on the West Coast in San Diego, California. ETV maintains its headquarters in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Eagle Thread Verifier is a patented automatic thread gauge that catches 99% of all thread problems in any manufacturing process. ETV is designed to operate in the rigorous production environment of coolant and chips, preventing improperly tapped parts from reaching final assembly. Over 50 million thread testing cycles have been conducted by the ETV system in manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S.
